
According to refined data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the volume of foreign direct investments implemented in Georgia in 2025 amounted to 1,900.4 million US dollars, which is 19.3 percent higher than the corresponding figure for 2024 and exceeds the preliminary data for 2025 by 12.5 percent.
Sakstat also refined the volume of foreign direct investments implemented in Georgia starting from 2021. According to them, in 2025 the share of reinvestment in total foreign direct investments amounted to 82.5 percent.
“The share of the three largest investor countries in the total volume of foreign direct investments, according to the refined data for 2025, amounted to 44.4 percent. Among the main direct investor countries, the United Kingdom ranks first with 22.4 percent (426.6 million US dollars), Azerbaijan is second with 11.3 percent (214.4 million US dollars), and Turkey is third with 10.6 percent (202.4 million US dollars).
In 2025, the share of the three largest sectors (according to the foreign direct investments implemented) amounted to 56.8 percent. The largest volume of foreign direct investment was implemented in the financial and insurance activities sector and amounted to 633.2 million US dollars, which is 33.3 percent of the total volume of foreign direct investments. In second place is the real estate sector with 254.7 million US dollars (13.4 percent), and in third place is the trade sector with 191.1 million US dollars (10.1 percent),” the information released by Geostat states.
