The Kakheti police have detained one person on charges of intentional infliction of minor bodily harm. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released information about the above.

According to the investigation, the case concerns an incident that occurred during a wedding in a hotel in Telavi, during which foreign citizens insulted the wedding guests from the balcony of a hotel room and poured water on the equipment. According to the agency, the incident led to a physical confrontation and the accused injured a foreign citizen woman.

“Officers of the Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested one person on charges of intentional infliction of minor bodily harm.

According to witness testimonies, during a wedding in one of the hotels in Telavi, foreign citizens staying at the hotel insulted the guests from the balcony of the hotel room and poured water on the equipment, after which the accused physically injured the foreign citizen woman.

The injured person was taken to the clinic for appropriate medical assistance.

As a result of the conducted operational measures and investigative actions, the perpetrator of the crime has been detained.

The investigation is underway under Article 120 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 3 years,” reads the information.
