The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has charged one person with assaulting a bailiff of the Tbilisi City Court while performing his official duties, the Prosecutor's Office announced.
"The investigation established that on June 9 of this year, in the Tbilisi City Court, the bailiff called on the defendant to maintain order, which she did not obey and verbally abused the bailiffs. Then she attacked one of the bailiffs and physically abused her.
Law enforcement officers arrested the defendant on June 20 based on a judge's ruling. She was charged under Part 3 of Article 353 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (assault on a public servant during the performance of his official duties), which provides for a fine or 4 to 7 years of imprisonment as the form and measure of punishment.
