Court fines Mzia Amaglobeli GEL 1,000 for placing a sticker

The Batumi City Court has found Mzia Amaglobeli, the founder of Batumelebi and Netgazeti, an administrative violator and imposed a fine of 1,000 GEL.

The relevant decision was announced by Judge Mariana Fomaeva at the trial.

The announcement of the decision by the judge was followed by shouts from those present in the courtroom.

At today’s hearing, witnesses presented by the defense were questioned, and the defense and prosecution read their final arguments.

Mzia Amaglobeli herself was not present at the hearing. As the judge noted before the start of the trial, Amaglobeli refused to participate in the hearing remotely.

The administrative offense case against Mzia Amaglobeli is related to the fact of placing a sticker during a protest rally at the Adjara Police Headquarters on January 11 of this year.
