Certain groups have already started preparing to participate in so-called elections, which is abnormal, said Levan Khabeishvili, one of the leaders of “Unity National Movement,” after a meeting initiated by Paata Burchuladze with part of the opposition and non-governmental organizations.
According to Levan Khabeishvili, no elections will take place in Georgia under Ivanishvili’s conditions, as “it will simply be a spectacle.”
“It’s crucial that everyone understands that sanctioned Ivanishvili, with sanctioned Kalandarishvili, will never hold elections in Georgia. Accordingly, it’s abnormal that certain groups are already preparing to participate in these so-called elections. The society gathered here, representatives of political parties, and civil society agree on one thing, and we have a very important and simple message for the public: ‘Georgia without Ivanishvili.’ Under Ivanishvili’s conditions, there will be no elections in Georgia; it will simply be a spectacle where he offers various roles to different actors—some will call themselves politicians, others candidates for mayor, and so on. Our number one task is to overthrow Ivanishvili’s regime and then hold fair elections where the people will decide who should be in power and what kind of coalition government they want,” Levan Khabeishvili stated.
