Khatia Dekanoidze, a member of the "Unity - National Movement," made the following statement during the protest on Rustaveli Avenue:

"The current situation in the illegitimate Parliament is a disgrace of the regime. This is the disgusting form that Bidzina Ivanishvili intends to finally establish in Georgia, but it will not succeed. Kavlashvili will not gain any legitimacy from the citizens of Georgia. The regime must fall, and after its collapse, we will have the opportunity for the country to develop as the society expects. Talking about legitimacy is pointless; what matters is that the protest continues and we remain mobilized, as we have in recent days.

The lighting of the New Year's illuminations this evening is a fully provocative step. This is the place where, during this period, people were tortured and mistreated. Young people were left unconscious on Rustaveli Avenue, and at the same time, their supporters are writing, 'Come to light the Christmas tree.' Any celebration belongs to the Georgian people, and we don't need it until this country is free," Khatia Dekanoidze said.
