No one is afraid of the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Khatia Dekanoidze, one of the leaders of "Unity - National Movement", said about this while speaking about the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, at the Republic Square, from where the citizens will join the planned rally in front of the Parliament.
According to her, the participants of the rally are protesting peacefully.
"No one is afraid of the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We have a peaceful protest, from here we march to the parliament, we will be there, we will spend the night, so that in the morning they promise to enter with police and special forces cordons. We must make our voice heard. It is the self-styled government, the parliament, illegitimacy is what hangs over them. Everyone should understand that the citizens of Georgia will not "pass" this. The Ministry of Internal Affairs should take care of the police officers accused of sexual discrimination and harassment", said Dekanoidze.
For information, the Ministry of Internal Affairs responds to the protest action planned before the meeting of the 11th convocation parliament and warns the organizers not to go beyond the scope established by the assembly/manifestation law and refrain from illegal actions. As the agency explains, otherwise, the police will take all appropriate legal measures to prevent illegal actions. In addition, in the statement, the Ministry of Internal Affairs indicates that the blocking of a strategic or particularly important object is expressly prohibited by law, which is a punishable act according to Article 222 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
