The Prosecutor's Office summoned Khatia Dekanoidze, one of the leaders of the "Unity National Movement", for questioning as part of the investigation into possible election fraud.
As Dekanoidze told the media, she is not going to go to the Prosecutor's Office and will testify in Tbilisi City Court in the presence of a magistrate judge.
Dekanoidze expresses distrust of the Prosecutor's Office and says that the mentioned investigative agency expresses the interests of one person.
"I am not going to go to the Prosecutor's Office. I never came. The public will have my answers with the judge and I will probably be notified of an additional date. In general, it is funny when there are so many materials proving falsification and opposition leaders are summoned to the Prosecutor's Office. Therefore, this does not mean anything special to me," said Dekanoidze.
For information, within the framework of the investigation of possible election fraud, the Prosecutor's Office, in the presence of a magistrate judge, interrogated several opposition leaders and non-governmental sector representatives, including Zurab Girchi Japaridze, Mamuka Khazaradze, Natia Mezvrishvili, Saba Buadze, Tengo Tevaze, Londa Toloraia.
The Prosecutor's Office claims that more than one representative of the Central Election Commission was interrogated within the framework of the investigation of the mentioned case, although the agency does not disclose specific names and surnames.
