The Prime Minister of Georgia is starting his visit to Hungary, where he will participate in the meeting of the European Union, which is attended by the leaders of the EU member states and candidate countries, Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said in Budapest.
According to his assessment, this is a very important format, which was created at the initiative of President Macron, and is an interesting mechanism for bringing the countries politically associated with the European Union even closer.
"The Prime Minister will participate in various types of discussions and will be the first on the topic of economic security. The economic development of Georgia is one of the main priorities for our country, and the Prime Minister of Georgia will deliver a speech at this discussion, chaired by the Chancellor of Germany. It is very important that the Prime Minister will participate in the summary plenary session, where the discussion held together with the leaders of the EU member states and candidate countries will be summarized. We think that it is very important for us to participate in a similar platform, since one of the main lines of our country's foreign policy priority is European integration, and in addition to the bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the European Union, we use all opportunities for Georgia to successfully continue its European integration," said Ilia Darchiashvili.
