Roman Gotsiridze: Nominating delegates means maintaining the majoritarian system in a roundabout way, which is an anti-constitutional decision

"Georgian Dream" raised a political class of submissive, treacherous people - they did not renew the party, but presented us with tried and tested, obedient, slave-obedient people! - This is how Roman Gotsiridze, the opposition member of the Parliament, evaluates the candidates nominated by the ruling party as delegates in the October 26 elections.

Gotsiridze emphasized that presenting the delegates means maintaining the majoritarian system in a roundabout way, which is an anti-constitutional decision. According to the MP, the changes made in the "Election Code" regarding the delegates should be appealed to the Constitutional Court.

"Georgian Dream" wants to preserve the old regional-feudal system. This is the system when rich people retain the mandate of a deputy by bribery or other influence, and then they are included in the list of silent deputies in the parliament," said Roman Gotsiridze.
