According to Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream, there is an alliance between the United National Movement and Giorgi Gakharia, the chairman of For Georgia.

As he told reporters, the information about the existence of the coalition was confirmed when they created coalitions in 4 municipalities.

"There are details about the connections of this alliance, which arose long before Gakharia left our team. Too many details and nuances can be interesting to the public. We will talk about the details of this cooperation later. It can be related to funding issues, it can be specific issues that were dictated by this alliance, and so on. Do you remember that there were very suspicious special operations in Pankisi? ...There may be traces of the National Movement behind this and we will inform the public about it. Exactly one year has passed, February 18 was a very difficult day. Do you remember the resignation of Giorgi Gakharia and the joy in the office of the National Movement, which was soon replaced by different emotions, when our team showed unity and nominated Irakli Gharibashvili as the Prime Minister? We announced on February 18 that as soon as the government was approved, the law would be enforced. With the unity of the team we managed to come out of these difficult processes even stronger.

As for Gakharia's mayoralty, naturally, former prime ministers are not fighting for the bronze medal. He knew in advance that he would not even get a double-digit result in Tbilisi. The goal was to somehow take Nikanor Melia to the second round, however, he failed to fulfill his main task - to prevent the Georgian Dream from getting 43% in the elections. They did not achieve the main goal, therefore, we came out of these processes stronger," - said Kobakhidze.
