I met our colleagues from the United States, Poland, Slovenia. Of course, their position is unchanged and very firm that Georgia will become a member of NATO, Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze told reporters in Brussels.
According to the Minister, the main task of the government is to ensure the integrity of the country and NATO is the only way to do it.
According to Juansher Burchuladze, within the framework of the NATO Defense Ministerial in Brussels, Georgia reaffirmed its support for Ukraine.
"We had a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. I also had the opportunity to exchange our views and hear support from our partners once again. I met with our colleagues from the United States, Poland and Slovenia. Of course, their position is unchanged and very firm that Georgia will become a member of NATO. Of course, our main task is the integrity of our country, we do not see any other way to achieve this task - NATO is the only way we can achieve the integrity of our country.
Of course, we discussed and emphasized our support for Ukraine. We talked about the risks that Georgia may have in the short and long term. All NATO member states have expressed their full support for us," Juansher Burchuladze said.
