Despite my respect for Carl Hartzell, I not only simply, but categorically disagree with his opinion, Mamuka Mdinaradze, one of the leaders of the Georgian Dream, said in response to the EU Ambassador's statement on the termination of mandates of opposition MPs.

"In my opinion, this was not the right statement by Carl Hartzell. Mr. Carl did not discuss the objective criteria and circumstances underlying this decision. This person helps us in a lot of good deeds, he stands by us, but specifically this decision to make such a statement was wrong. He didn't have the right assessment neither regarding expediency nor the legal basis. Therefore, I categorically disagree with him," Mdinaradze said.

EU Ambassador Carl Hartzel commented on the termination of the mandate of the three members of parliament, noting that the decision arguably came at the expense of political inclusiveness and democratic pluralism in Parliament.
