Georgia reports 15,644 new cases of coronavirus, 46 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 52,912 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 32,295 antigen tests and 20,617 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 15,644 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,511,800.

As of February 16, the daily positive rate is 29.57%, 32.01% in the last 14 days and 30.99% in the last 7 days.

In the last 24 hours, 24,110 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,324,172. 46 coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 15,729 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

Out of 15 644 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 7,574 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 1,109, Imereti - 2,342, Kvemo Kartli - 865, Shida Kartli - 946, Guria - 447, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 914, Kakheti - 866, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 334, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 174, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 73.

The number of active cases amounts to 171 873.
