Giorgi Vashadze: We were going to run in the elections, but after consultations we decided that we will most likely not run in Rustavi

"We were going to run in the elections, but after consultations we decided that we will most likely not run in Rustavi," Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of Strategy Builder, told reporters.

Vashadze responded to the nomination of Badri Japaridze as a majoritarian candidate in Rustavi and noted that they would have consultations with Lelo.

“I emphasize that the Strategy Builder, Reform Group, our partner parties, Republican Party were thinking about several candidates in Rustavi, we were going to run in the elections, however, we had consultations today and we agreed that we probably will not put up a candidacy. We will decide the rest of the details when we have a conversation with representatives of Lelo. I think the elections in Rustavi will be quite interesting and important and hopefully, the result will be useful for the people and we will take another step towards dismantling the government. There is a possibility that the majority will be dissolved in the medium term if not in the near future and a new majority will be formed in this parliament," Vashadze said.
