Prosecutor: The evidence in the case concerning the beating journalists on July 5 proves the guilt of the accused

According to Prosecutor Grigol Nishnianidze, the evidence in the case concerning the beating journalists on July 5 proves the guilt of the accused.

As the prosecutor told reporters at the Tbilisi City Court, 7 defendants were present at today's hearing and the evidence adduced by the prosecution was examined.

According to Grigol Nishnianidze, a number of witnesses were questioned at the hearing, each of whom clearly confirmed the violent acts committed against representatives of the media.

“Witnesses recalled the events - how and under what circumstances journalists were abused and how they were prevented from engaging in journalistic activities.

The violent groups had the same approach to all journalists, cameramen and photographers. They committed acts of violence against all of them. All this can be seen in the footage,” said Grigol Nishnianidze.
