Irakli Antadze: Occupation forces are actively conducting borderization, this process is also related to the illegal detention of our citizens, for which the Russian government is responsible

The 104th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism is being held in the village of Ergneti. At the meeting, representatives of the central government of Georgia will protest against the illegal borderization process. At the same time, the facts of illegal detention of Georgian citizens will be discussed.

According to Irakli Antadze, Deputy Director of the Information-Analytical Department of the State Security Service, all incidents along the occupation line and in the occupied territories as well as the destructive actions carried out by the occupation forces are damaging the security environment on the ground.

"At today's meeting, we will discuss all the important incidents after the previous meeting. Of course, special emphasis will be placed on our fellow citizens in illegal detention so that they can return to their families as soon as possible. We will not be able to bypass it and the main focus will be on the illegal borderization process, which is still in an active phase. We will also touch on all the incidents that took place during the past year and of course talk about the ongoing destructive and negative processes in Kirbali.

Russian occupation forces are actively conducting borderization along the occupation line, which is manifested in the erection of artificial barriers. This process is also related to the illegal detention of our citizens, it is the result of the occupation, for which the Russian government bears full responsibility," said Irakli Antadze.

For information, according to the information available at the moment, 6 Georgian citizens are illegally detained in occupied Tskhinvali: Mamuka Chkhikvadze, Zaza Megrelishvili, Tamaz Gogichashvili, Kakhaber Natadze, Vladimer Kaniashvili and Lasha Khetereli.
