Russian occupation forces illegally detain Georgian citizen near occupied Tskhinvali

Representatives of the Russian occupation forces illegally detained a Georgian citizen near occupied Tskhinvali.

According to the State Security Service, hotline has been activated and information was immediately provided to the co-chairs of the Geneva discussions.

"The central government of Georgia uses all the mechanisms at its disposal to release the illegally detained citizens.

The occupying power of the Russian Federation bears full responsibility for the destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions and along the occupation line. The harmful practice of illegal detentions is significantly worsening the security environment on the ground and threatening the stability of the region," reads the statement.
