Representatives of the Russian occupation forces have illegally detained two Georgian citizens near the village of Gremiskhevi in ​​Dusheti Municipality.

According to SSG, the "hot line" has been activated by the State Security Service. The information was immediately provided to the co-chairs of the Geneva discussions.

"The central government of Georgia uses all the mechanisms at its disposal to release illegally detained citizens.

The occupying power of the Russian Federation bears full responsibility for the destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions and along the occupation line. The harmful practice of illegal detentions significantly worsens the security environment on the ground and threatens the stability in the region," the statement said.
