Batumi City Council sitting suspended as representatives of Georgian Dream do not arrive at sitting convened by National Movement

Batumi City Council sitting has been suspended. Representatives of the Georgian Dream did not arrived at the sitting convened by the United National Movement. It is unknown to both the opposition and the media why the Georgian Dream did not arrived at the meeting.

According to the members of the National Movement and other opposition parties in the City Council, they will wait for an hour for the members of the Georgian Dream members to elect a chairperson of the City Council and annul the approved budget for 2022.

The opposition says that they will try to convene a council sitting every week. According to them, the opposition is in the majority of the Batumi City Council.
