Verbal confrontation takes place between members of National Movement and Batumi Mayor in Batumi City Hall

A verbal confrontation took place between the members of the United National Movement and Batumi Mayor Archil Chikovani at the Batumi City Hall. According to Rezo Kharazi, a member of the United National Movement, they had questions with the Batumi Mayor about the ongoing constructions.

"Recently, a few days ago, one of the heads of the municipal inspection came to the facility with a weapon. Do you think that your employees should walk with a weapon? We also need explanations about why the so-called Chinese block is being constructed without permission,” Rezo Kharazi told Batumi Mayor Archil Chikovani.

The verbal confrontation took place in the office of Batumi Mayor Archil Chikovani, where the mayor told members of the opposition that legal measures were being taken in connection with the specific case.

"Legal measures are being taken in connection with all the facts within the competence of the City Hall, in a specific case when the municipal inspection staff who entered one of the facilities resisted, an investigation is underway. Archil Chikovani.

The Mayor of Batumi left his office shortly after the confrontation, while members of the opposition were removed from the office by law enforcers.
