Zugdidi Assembly again failed to elect chairman and the session was postponed for a week. The reason for this was that the "United National Movement" left the sitting a few minutes after the beginning, and the relevant decision could not be made at the session due to the lack of quorum.
According to the party representative Teimuraz Basilaia, the consensus between certain political entities is vague for them. According to him, the crisis that is happening now is caused by the ruling party.
"Our team has decided not to take part in the voting today and to leave the hall. This is a kind of crisis and this crisis is naturally created by the government after the elections and specifically by the Georgian Dream political team. I do not want to specifically personify because of whom and why this happened. It happened entirely because of the system, which literally took away our mandate and that led us to a dead end," Basilaia said.
