First session of newly elected City Council of Zugdidi starts with commotion

The first session of the newly elected City Council of Zugdidi Municipality started with commotion. Members of the United National Movement brought photos of Nugzar Putkaradze, the elected member of the Batumi City Council, whose death they attribute to pressure.

Zugdidi District Election Commission Chairperson Miranda Meskhi opened the session. The session will be chaired by the oldest member of the City Council. Today, the Chairman of the City Council and his deputies will be elected.

The National Movement have won 22 seats in the Zugdidi City Council, the Georgian Dream - 20 seats, and For Georgia party – 3 seats.
